My crew and I took a boat near Boston to travel to Russel House where we had seen militia stationed. A soldier gave me directions to where Paul Revere was (he gave them without questions as he probably saw I was a reporter). He told me Revere was at Lexington as he had been released at 2 A.M without a horse and walked back to Lexington. We traveled to Lexington from Russel House hopeful of an interview with Paul Revere. We reached Lexington in the evening when Paul Revere was about to leave. We asked him for an interview and he agreed immediately.

Background Information

The Battle of Lexington and Concord.....

On April 19, 1775, a large British force led by Major John Pitcairn marched into Lexington and Concord, exhausted after their sixteen mile hike the night before. They encountered the local militia men and fought one of the most historic battles of the American Revolution. The regulars did not know it, but even reinforcements of 1000 soldiers led by Lord Percy would not save them.

Being the first battle in the American Revolution, this battle showed Britain how strong America was. The British had 73 killed, 191 wounded and 22 captured and suffered a massive loss. The colonists had 49 killed, 39 wounded and, 4 captured.
